I formed Accountants Plus in January 2001. At that point I had accumulated 12 years practical experience and my professional accountancy qualification (FCCA) while working for different medium sized Accountancy practices with a UK wide network of offices.
While the training and technical skills accumulated were invaluable in my informative years, I observed the delivery of services to clients and people skills exhibited by Senior personnel to be deficient. This practice was not confined to my previous employers but was in my view the working norm of the Accountancy profession.
Accountants in my view are generally aloof, matter of fact and not at all commercial or practical to meet client needs or expectations.
My aim in forming Accountants Plus was to form an Accountancy and business pro – active advice practice who would deliver all the compliance services you would expect but also be defined by our client friendly, plain speaking and tailored approach to client needs with ability to go the extra mile.This same ethos would also be extended to our staff to ensure Accountants Plus is a desirable and professionally fulfilling place to be employed.
We are always on the side of our clients and are not simply a Lap dog of the Inland Revenue. We optimise our clients tax planning opportunities within the law in a practical, friendly and bespoke manner
Today Accountants Plus has a staff compliment of 30+ which makes us small enough to care about each and every one of our clients but also large enough to have the pool of specialisms required in the modern business environment
